My art is a voyage to imaginary places and moments in time. Moments that are long enough to blend light, texture, color and determine contrast or harmony and so brutally short to give a  pleasure. So, I let it ripen sometimes a year or so and then continue with another layer, another story, until the next moment of trill. And naturally developing multiple paintings at the same time to alternate the frequency of joyride

It’s a detox to everyday life routine. I have been attracted to it since I was a child. Impressionism had a strongest impact on my art journey. It was like finding a new girlfriend. I enjoyed thick and spontaneous brushstrokes and rough textures. In 70’s Pop art came along my adventures. Very communicative but at the end just another luggage to carry on. After confronting different faces of art, primitive and elaborated ones I met abstract expressionism freedom and all the beaux art styles ceased to exist.

I do not patronize the styles as definitions, I do not believe in collections as each of my painting is different since is created in various time spans meaning divers circumstances, desires and influences.  Only emotional aspects at the culminative point of achievement are similar. Like climbing a mountain, once on very top one can breathe in comfort and contemplate.

I grew up behind iron curtain in Eastern Europe, hungry for culture and travel. Ended up in North America, visited every inhabited terrestrial continent. Performed music, constructed landscapes, pet animals.

Art goes on.
